This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers two contexts: (1) when you visit this website, and (2) when you use the Five Star Reviews WordPress plugin. If anything here is unclear, please email [email protected]. This page is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.

1) When you visit this website

Analytics

We use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand site traffic and page performance. We do not use analytics to build profiles, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

Contact

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this information only to reply and provide support.

Cookies

Our site aims to minimize cookies. Some pages may set strictly necessary cookies (for security or session features). If we add optional cookies in the future, we’ll update this page and provide a clear notice.

2) When you use the Five Star Reviews plugin

What the plugin stores on your WordPress site

The plugin stores review content and related fields (e.g., reviewer name, rating, review text, dates, and optional photos/URLs) in your site’s database solely to render reviews on your pages.

Optional network features

Some optional features (for example, preview/retrieval flows or license checks) may contact our service endpoints. We keep these calls minimal and log only what’s needed to operate the feature (e.g., your site URL, plugin version, and a request or license identifier). We do not collect end-user browsing behavior from your visitors through the plugin.

Payments

If you purchase a license, payment processing is handled by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. Your name, email, and order metadata may be shared with the payment provider to complete the transaction and provide receipts. See your payment provider’s privacy notice for details.

How we use information

What we don’t do

Data retention

We keep website support emails and operational logs only as long as necessary for support, security, and legal compliance. Data stored by the plugin lives in your WordPress database until you remove it. If you uninstall the plugin, you may also delete its data from your database via your normal WordPress/MySQL tools.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect our site and service endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please keep your WordPress, plugins, and server software updated and use strong, unique passwords.

Your choices & rights

Children

Our website and plugin are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, when appropriate, provide an in-product or on-site notice.
